Make a Chore Chart for Your Kids

Lately with my tween, I'm seeing an attitude of liking the reward without having to do everything she's supposed to. I've made a simple chart listing her chores with a value added to each one. Some are daily, some just have to be done by the weekend. There are two things she must do without payment (price of family life, working together). I gave it to her and told her she was in control. It's working well. I only "pay" her for jobs she completes and the arguing over chores has stopped. She feels responsible and independent, plus I think it's a good lesson in time management.
