Not Just for the Sidewalk: Use Chalk to Keep Silver Shining
If you’re like our family, you have lots of chalk on hand for summertime fun outside. But here’s another way to use that chalk inside, as a non-toxic solution to keep tarnish at bay from your good silver. Tie a couple of pieces of chalk in cheesecloth and store it with your larger silver pieces or cutlery. The chalk will draw moisture away from the silver to keep it shining longer. That means less work for you when you want to entertain (so you may actually use the good stuff more often)!
