Just Being Themselves: Support Healthy Self-esteem in Kids

From a place of healthy self-esteem, children feel good about who they are, want to learn, try new activities, feel loved and valued and thrive in life. Explain to your children that self-esteem is about BEING and has nothing to do with DOING. Self-esteem is every child’s right as a living being – they don’t have to "do" anything – they can just be themselves. Each child is special in their own way and has something unique to offer. It’s a child’s right to have good self-esteem, which is simply a positive feeling about and toward themselves!
