Margaritas & Mojitos: Yum Cocktails for Your Summer Barbecue

For a flavorful treat, add some of your favorite ripened fruit (mango, peach, watermelon, etc.) to your next batch of margaritas. My recipe is easy: one cup each of lime juice, orange juice, tequila and your choice of ripened and mashed fruit. Put it all in a blender and crush over ice until smooth. Another option is a Mojito, the Cuban equivalent to the Mint Julep! Muddle five mint leaves, two lime wedges and one T. sugar in a 10-oz glass. Fill with ice and top with two ounces of rum and a splash of soda water. Stir and garnish with fresh mint or lime. Serve in sugar-rimmed glassware. Yum!
